Been browsing the forum a lot lately. A lot of great info here.

Just got our Scamp late last summer. It's a 2000 16' in great shape for the most part. Have a list of mods we look forward to working on. We've been wanting a little trailer for quite some time so we're pretty excited to take it out. Just got back from a great two day trip. Here in Colorado we have a plethora of places to go and I'd like to hit them all!

I have Jalousie windrows on my 2013 Scamp 16 ft

Hi Travis and welcome! See if you can make a rally or two. They are great fun and you get to tour other FG rigs. It is amazing what some people have done to customize their trailers.

Huh, I didn't realize they were an option. I'm glad I have them because I do prefer them.

Thanks! I've looked at the rally section and haven't noticed one for CO this year. I'll keep a lookout for doable ones. I'd love to see what people have done to their trailers. We've been known to go to RV shows and dealers because we love to look at them.

I've noticed many people have had to drive a long way to get their eggs. I almost don't want to say how far I had to go for mine! Let me put it this way, I ride my bike further to work! We were looking diligently, thinking we'd have to drive to find one. When out for walks we kept walking by a 16' Scamp and it only made our desire greater. After a few weeks of looking like crazy, one popped up on CL and I was the first to call the owner. We set up a time for the next morning. An hour later the guy calls me back and says his phone has been non stop ringing with people offering him more than he was asking, cash on spot, you know the drill. He said he didn't realize what he had. It was his fathers, who had passed. He didn't want to do it, but his wife was making him ask more for it and he felt really really bad but he still wanted to give me first chance. Well the truth is he really did have it under priced. So he asked if I was OK with X amount, and I was. Even at the higher price, it was still a good price. While dealing with him we realized it was the same trailer we had been walking past for a few weeks. (He had moved it up the road to a friends business) When we told him that, and that we lived in the neighborhood, he took a few bucks off and said "The wife doesn't need to know, besides, the front window is cracked".

So don't hate me for only having to drive a couple of miles for my Scamp!!

It's always nice to find other members in Colorado. Maybe our paths will cross this summer.

Great find it was meant to be. We found our 13' U-Haul a less than a mile from our home, it was sitting in a guys yard for years & never moved so we stopped & asked if he wanted to sell it well he wasn't sure he'd think about it, 2 days later he called, went to the bank gave him cash & it was ours, needed a lot of work but my husband refurbished it all & we love it, travel the whole US with it

OK, but those have to be radius jalousie windows, like the current Trilliums. not the square corner aluminum jalousie windows on this trailer.

So are my windows unique or something? In google imaging other Scamps I noticed most do not this style of window.

I'll be calling Scamp sometime soon for some parts. Perhaps they can tell me more about them.

In my opinion, your windows are preferred. The entire window opens, where the radius windows have a non opening pane at either end, where the curve of the hole is.
