Greetings from the NC High Country

We have learned a lot of good info here and wanted to say thanks and Happy Holidays to you all. We are probably like a lot of folks in this tribe, starting out as backpackers, then car campers, then having two different slide-in, pop-up truck campers. We now have a 2014 Great West Vans Trillium 1500.

After trouble shooting and fixing several QC issues overlooked at the factory, wherever that was at the time, we love it. We got it in March and recently spent our 78th night in it. It was built in August of 2013 and with the large front sofa, and a good mattress for a full time bed it is perfect for two people.

Thanks again to all of you who put the time and effort to making this site such a valuable resource.

Hello Danny and welcome to the forum. North Carolina is one of our favorite states. We spend a lot of time on the Outer Banks. Our 2010 was made by the guy that sold out to Great West. Sounds like the quality hasn't improved. That's unfortunate. The Trillium is a well thought out trailer and easy to work on. The windows alone make the trailer worth buying. You'll get it sorted out. As you do, consider posting as others may benefit from your work. Enjoy your new trailer, Raz

Hi. We love your state! Yes we really like the four big windows that crank out. Most of the issues with ours were simple to correct...loose hose clamps and connections in the plumbing which just required tightening. The striker plate for the deadbolt was a little off but a few passes with a file fixed that. We have the Legend model with solar which works well if in full sun. I really like the compressor type fridge with 110 or 12 volt option. Also like the electric or propane water heater.

Happy Holidays

Not sure how close you are, what are your interests or your schedule, but I would recommend attending the FG rally in Cherokee Oct 15-18. The eggs gather at Happy Holiday RV Park. Lots of great people and lots of fun.

Welcome to the forum. We've spent quite a bit of time in NC, and love the high country around Boone and Banner Elk.
Hope you enjoy your camper. Happy travels!

Welcome to FGRV. We also live in NC off the Blue Ridge Parkway near the Virginia line. Where in the high country are you?
