Greetings, Kings and Queens of the Road!

On Saturday, I will pick up my new-to-me 1981 Scamper 13. The previous owners had reupholstered the cushions in a Route 66 fabric and replaced the floor in black and white tile. Like walking into a booth at the diner.

The most basic of basics, simple and straightforward, and doesn't need unfolding like my motorcycle camper. There is nothing wrong with my little tent-top, but my old bones just want to pull in the site and be able to stretch out. And no more worries about putting away the camper while wet and needing to air it out. A touch more security and comfort when I travel alone.

I have eyed these cuties for a long time, and one came available fairly close to home. I hope to tap your knowledge and learn from your trials by fire. Thanks for having a good place to learn and share.

And no, I don't get the car with the camper.

Fun!

I too moved from a motorcycle popup (Bunkhouse) to an egg. We are now on our second egg.

Two eggs, and now you need a side of bacon or sausage. Sounds like a camping trip to me!

Welcome to FGRV; your '81 scamp does look just like a vintage diner,
uber cute!
