Red face California doesn't spell out whole names on titles

California can name that trailer in 5 letters!

The title on my Compact Jr. says "CMPJR"

The title on my Fiber Stream says "FBSTM"

Both trailers were built in California, but only the Fiber Stream has the California Standards plate.

That would be interesting to learn about.

Playing on the FBSTS, could it be FiBer SysTemS? I found that name related to fiberglass pipes on the web. It is a long shot but Century Manufacturing (boler American & ECO) was also into industrial fiberglass plumbing.

Roy, it was just a long shot question on my part - I though I recalled reading it somewhere re the boler connection but I would have to go back and read through all the boler history posts to see if that was the case.... it just may be my bad memory.

My other thought in regards to the Boler in question is it possible a Pacer? I know the records seem to indicate that so far only a 74 by Parris Valley Campers in California has popped up but hummm did they do a few before they put the tag on them saying they were Parris Valley Campers - the reason I ask is that on the link here You will see it is a 74 Pacer with the green fiberglass bottom but it also has the round door stop on the door that the trailer in question has - did all the bolers have that? flipping through photos it doesnt look like it. Could be wrong though.

LOL we have a meet in a couple of weeks with 32 Boler's registered so far, the oldest being a 1970 and the newest a 1980 - would be interesting if this one could join them to help determine what the heck it is.

Edit: Humm doesnt look like the 74 Pacer did not have frenched tail lights either....

I would like to think it was a precursor to the Perris Valley Pacer or the El Macho. Somewhere here on FGRV there is a picture of a boler like trailer whose ID plate indicates it was made in Perris Valley or somewhere very near there. It was a prototype or the name indicated something like that. I won't have the time to search for it for a couple of weeks.

Its on the link in my message above - it was on a 1974 and the plates actually say Perris Valley

No, there was another one posted Carol. It did not have the Perris Valley Tag for the manufacturer. It had another name and was geographically close to Perris Valley.

Here is another relative that was For Sale up in Oregon:

Does anybody know what the number stamped into the California compliance plate right after "RV" signifies? (picture in first post)

The serial number is obvious.

OK,
The boler Americans had a notch in the wheel well housing under the sink to allow for the furnace, yours does not. Yet the electrical box looks the same, and the connector on the front where your wiring to the tow vehicle plugs into is distinctly reminiscent of the boler American. It should have the same manufacture as your 120V hatch has. (Texas) A small 6 pin round.

I don't see "door" pics. Are hinges two bolt or three bolt?

The Fiber Stream wasn't made in a big factory; It was a company of 3 employees total, and it moved around the east side of LA in small nondescript industrial parks. (I presume in search of cheap rent) It was a totally independent entrepreneurship.

Door pics are in posts # 1 and 12, they are 2 bolt.

But I see the same linoleum flooring that was in mine. Coincidence?

OK I found it, it is in the Albums under Minit. I believe Minit may have at one time a name used on a Perris Valley trailer. There is one described in the forums. Whether that was just a model or just I trailer name, I don't know.
http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...html#post97764
It appears to me that this is the same trailer when I go to the blog mentioned for 2006 (members Chris73 and Brian Barker ... perhaps spouses similar?)
http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...html#post64203

This tag is off the "Chubby Bunny"

When I Google that address (12112 Centralia Rd. Hawaiian Gardens, CA 90716) I get Vintage Speedsters. The make replica cars with Fiberglass bodies on VW modified floor pans.
VINTAGE SPEEDSTERS - 356 Speedster Kit

I have no idea what the P.A. 3407 is.

A search of the Califonia database of businesses for "Beta Design" gives:
Entity Name: BETA DESIGN, INC.
Entity Number: C0696477
Date Filed: 01/09/1974
Status: SUSPENDED
Jurisdiction: CALIFORNIA
Entity Address: 9595 WILSHIRE BLVD., NINTH FLR. BEVERLY HILLS CA 90212

That was registered a year after the trailer above was made. So who knows?

Roy the Chubby Bunny looks cute but the bumper and the rear lights dont make the cut .... I am still leaning toward it being a Boler. I am still wondering if the California tag is not a red hearing and was simple added when a propane appliance was added after the fact......

I hear you Carol.

I don't think the propane was added after the fact. The style of metal plate on the propane inlet matches the other plates. Maybe we can get Spue to post pictures of all the component plates. I can't make out all the details on the ones in the pictures.

I'm still interested in the California compliance Tag.
Maybe we should start a separate thread to see if people with the same model or brand of trailer have the same number after the "RV".
I'd love to have one of those blank FMVSS stickers for my boler American and replacement CSA stickers for my Trillium 4500.

ok. the chubby bunny's serial # also starts with S. that's a good sign, but she was made in '73 and has a lower #. so that's a problem right??

i don't think the propane was added after manufacture, the CA tags are probably something the dealer had to add to sell it in CA. all the extra laws we live with here.

what other pictures do you guys want?
