Greg and Teresa - new (future) Escape owners

This is not our first post on here, but it is our first post as future Escape owners. We put a down payment on a 2016 Escape 17B today with the great folks in Chilliwack. Our new baby has a build date of August 3, 2016. We started out our journey wanting either a Casita or Scamp, had never even heard about the Escapes, but the more we found out about the Escapes, the more we decided that is what we wanted. And since used Escapes are rare (and even rarer anywhere near us), we decided that new was the way to go. So now we wait. But we are so excited.

An Escape 17B would be my first choice in that size/feature class as well. And now is a great time to purchase due to the favorable exchange rate. Clearly a lot of folks feel the same… over a year's wait!!!

Congratulations! Now to start planning the first trip...

Our first trip will be to go get it and bring it back (5000 mile round trip). Should be a good break-in trip. Unfortunately we still work, so it won't be the leisurely trip that we would like. But we have friends in Washington state that we need to go see, so we will combine this with that and kill two birds with one stone.

And yes, the exchange rate is pretty awesome, that is exactly why we decided to go new, and do it now. They only required a $500 down payment, but we are thinking that we may go ahead and pay them the majority of what we will owe just to make sure we get the benefit of that, since a lot of things can change over the course of a year.
