Hello!

New member, sailor now also interested in a small lightweight trailer to go behind my Ford Ranger (V-6, 4.0L) for me and my girl. Interested in Scamp, Casita. Grateful for any info. Cheers! Lorenzo

Welcome to the Group Lorenzo

All to often those looking for a trailer try to make decisions before they actually see and get inside of any of the different FGRV's.

. As a start, there is a gathering next month at Lake Casitas in SoCal that would give you the opportunity to see a number of different rigs.

May I suggest that you also let us know where you are in CA and perhaps you can visit with some of us in the group and see some rigs to get a better idea of what you want/need

BTW: Unless you only want to buy new, Scamps & Casitas are only the tip of the available iceberg of FGRV's.

And... if you do want to buy a new one, it is even more important that you know what you are getting before you order and put out $$$

And last, you mentioned your Tow Vehicle (TV), but please look on the Owners Manual and find the exact tow rating for your vehicle. Many have had to change initial plans after seeing the numbers.....

Welcome, Lorenzo, and good luck on your search! Bob Miller has given you excellent advice its really helpful if you can get to a rally and actually step into one of these campers. Check out the Trailer Registry and the Albums sections of this forum to see all the cool eggs that are out there.
