Hello

Hello I am of course new to the site my name is Darlene but everyone calls me D so I type in Dee because most computers do not like just D LOL
I am searching for a trailer I can pull with my Ford/Escape. however each of the classified ads I looking at if you follow the thread have been sold GGGGRRR don't they get moved out of listings?

it is tough to see something that might be what you are looking for and find out it was sold already

Welcome, Dee!

We feel your pain. Conscientious sellers come back and post a sold notice, and moderators move the ad to the archives. But many forget, move on to other things, or simply don't realize the responsibility they have under our marketplace rules. They may assume ads automatically expire after a certain time like other sites.

If you click on the seller's user name and check out their profile, you should be able to identify the date of their "last activity" on the forum. If they haven't visited the site since three days after the ad posted four months ago, you can bet it's gone.

Best wishes finding your trailer! It will come...

Hi

Hey Dee,

Welcome, I agree with Jon, sometimes sellers don't follow through with the entire process which would include notification of the item selling, just an oversight for the most part. You can find the tow rating of your vehicle in the owners manual and it would be a plus if your Escape is equipped with a tow package. Good luck with your search and be ready to move if you find something you like, they go quickly. Peace

Which reminds me… given your location you may want to shop in eastern Canada as well as the US. The linked website also has listings for Canada. The exchange rate is currently in your favor. Information about importing a trailer from Canada to the US is here:

Let me add that you need to be careful regarding scammers. Limited supply and large demand make Molded fiberglass trailers a scammers favorite.

HI D, you are in Maine? So I am! I wish this site had a way to search for people based on their home state so we could all get to know each other!

Good luck finding your egg, I have had 4 over the years (currently down to 2) and many amazing memories have been made.

When you get yours maybe we can go for an outing!

Jaye
