Hello (again) from southern China!
We are delighted to announce that we've just ordered a
Scamp from afar -- actually a
Scamp 13 Layout 2 with many of the options. This forum in general and your specific responses to 2 previous posts were instrumental in helping us reach a decision. So, thanks!
We won't take delivery until mid-July, ie after we return to the US. In the meantime, we'll start to plan a series of itineraries -- emanating from central Wisconsin from Sep through May -- that will enable us to explore all 48 states in 3 years. (Alaska, I suspect, we'll need to visit during one of the summers.)
We have much experience in traveling the world, but will be "rookies" as we set out on our tour of the States. Identifying worthwhile sites to visit and finding appropriate sites to camp will be a challenge for us, at least initially. We hope to learn a lot as we go...and also by attending several rallies.
We look forward to meeting some of you along the way.
