Hello From Minnesota
Hi everyone! I'm new to the site, but I've already read many fun and interesting things-looks like a great community of passionate fiberglass RVers!
My husband and I are in Minnesota. We have a 13' 2017 Scamp-Layout 2 Big Bed that we will be posting for sale soon (I don't think there are any available options we didn't add). Does anyone have any advise for first time RV sellers based on personal experience? I'd love to hear from you!
We love our Scamp and it's in brand new condition (the bathroom was never used!). However, we haven't used the Scamp since our first summer with it (2017) and we'd like someone to be able to enjoy it. All of our camping adventures nowadays are backpacking trips-no need for the Scamp

C/L and FB marketplace. I ask responders to answer a simple question: first name and zip code, to eliminate scammers. In person, in cash.
Scam techniques are well documented, Google will guide you on what to avoid.

You shouldn't have any problem generating interest with a FB or FGRV post.
I once had a ratty-old 1959 station wagon no one wanted to buy for $1,500 so I drove it over and parked in front of the place in Minneapolis that sells restored old cars for huge money.
I had several offers later that day and sold it for over $3,000.
Maybe you could drive it outside the Scamp factory in Backus and put a For Sale sign on it to catch people who have just learned that there's a 2 year wait for a new camper!

Hi, We live in Mn also and currently have a 13' scamp but are interested in possibly upgrading to one with a large bed and bathroom. If and when you do decide to sell we may be interested.
Thanks

Imagine a buyer and seller getting together after only 1 post each!
Enjoy,

Haha that sounds great!
Yeah, selling through Scamp would be super easy! They should just make a 'Used Scamps For Sale' page on their site and take a cut from each sale. Is it really a 2 year wait for a new Scamp? That's crazy!

There’s no reason to give anyone a cut or let someone broker for you in my opinion. Examine past sales for the last year on the “trailers for sale” part of this fiberglass trailer forum, consider what you have in the trailer and compare to selling prices. Set your price as firm, someone will come with the cash. Believe. Have the title ready. It’s not hard.

Don’t Forget the Casita Market
Hi, Ashley,
I live in Minnesota too! Rochester.
Casita used to make a 13-foot version called Patriot, but they’re no longer being made. I think there’s still a demand for the Patriot, so that’s an opportunity for you. In your FGRV or any ad you could say yours is the same size as a Casita Patriot, which can no longer be bought new from the factory.
Good luck!

You can also post on www.fiberglass-tv-4sale.com.
In addition to the inquiry here, there’s a recent wanted thread for a front bath Scamp. You have two solid leads already. You may not need to list it at all!
