Hello from Montana

After retiring we moved West from NH to MT. Great choice! From summers spent on the Maine coast in a Cape Dory 25D, to wandering this great state in a 13' Scamp. Hunting, fishing, retriever events and just touring. Many similarities between sailing and camping, so an easy transition.

Hello Lee, and Welcome to the board!
(I too am a 'newbie' here)

NH & MT are both gorgeous states!! I've been through 'em both, many times.

What part of Montana do you hail from??

I like Cape Dory's. Almost got a 27'er but went with a Nor'sea instead.
Welcome.

I hear you all had a rough winter over in the Bitterroot! I ran into a couple from there down in Moab, happy to be in the warmth and dry. They had a Bigfoot slide-in camper in their truck.

Welcome.

I spent a month in the Bitterroot in 1976. We were testing a motor grader with the Forest Service, grading dirt roads up the mountains from Hamilton. These were former logging roads, that were turned over to the USFS once the loggers left. A very enjoyable time for this flat-lander.
