Hello from NC

Hi,

We are retiring in the next year and a half to two years and plan to do some roaming. We are researching with to intent to buy a new or nice used Casita, Egg or Scamp. This looks like a great site with lots of info. I noticed some of you are planning a rally at Cherokee NC in October, we are close by so maybe we could look at some of your units?

Charlie, I don't know where in NC you are located but ParkLiner is making fiberglass trailers in Gibsonville NC. You may want to give them a call and take a look at one.

I'm sure most of the folks at the rally will be glad to show you their trailers. It's a common and popular thing to do at rallies, showing off the 'pride and joy'. Definitely plan to swing by there!

I did the same thing at a rally last Sept. in Arkansas. Saw a good variety of trailers, inside and out, and made some new friends. Now I've booked a site for next September's rally.

Hi Charlie, I'd suggest getting in touch with all the current molded trailer manufacturers and getting lists of owners, in your area, that are willing to show their trailers. Each brand has different layouts, etc. The best way to decide which brand... is to personally view. I agree, pictures don't tell you the whole story. It gets down to "different strokes for different folks" and we're fortunate to have several different manufacturers to choose from.

Good luck in your quest to find the perfect trailer for you!
