Hello from Western North Carolina

Hello everyone! I have recently become the proud owner of "The Brown Eyed Girl". She's a 1981 13' Casita who was produced in Backus MN. She is in need of some love and I am happy to help her feel it.
We look forward to seeing you out on the road,
Jenn and The Brown Eyed Girl

Congratulations Jennifer and happy traveling! Where in NW NC are you located? We're in the NW corner in SC about 20 minutes south of Cashiers NC.

Hi and thanks! That's a beautiful area you live in. I'm in Maggie Valley. Not too far from y'all!

That's a very special trailer. Casita claims they started in 1983 so yours must be fictitious.
A neat find. Thanks. I've heard they exist, but it's nice to see the evidence..

I had no idea the little piece of Casita history I got when I purchased her. Finding parts for her is the hardest since she really is a phantom princess.

Welcome, and congratulations on acquiring this rare MN-made, early Casita! I'd love to see photos of the interior.

So 1983 must be the year they opened shop in Rice, TX. Appears to be the same molds as later TX-made Patriots. Are there some parts that are different, or just the general difficulty of finding parts for old windows, appliances, and the like?

You live in beautiful country- don't have to go far to camp. Enjoy your Casita!

Which parts? Casita bought parts from the same vendors that supplied everyone else. For small parts, like cabinet doors for example, I have found Casita more than happy to make them custom sized at a small nominal charge.
