Hello I'm new and in the market

Thanks and Hello,

my wife and I are in the market for a fiberglass trailer we really like the Casita 17'. We are in the Mount Washington Valley NH. We have not seen any FG campers in person and are hoping someone may be in the area so we can actually see any FG campers so we can get a better idea of what we really want. If you are in NH or surround areas please contact us.

Thank You
Keith

I will be at White Lake State park, area 2 on 8/27 to 9/3 if you want to take a look at my 13 foot boler. I bought it several years ago and have been trying to fix it up. Right now I am working on the exterior. I have completely rebuilt and remounted my rear sliding window, the passenger's side jalousie window and the vent window on the door. I have done nothing to the interior yet. If you want to see what you can expect for a fixer upper let me know. We can talk about what I have done so far. I have a thread of what I have done (needs updating) here:

Most of the molded fiberglass manufacturers, including Casita, have a referral program in which they connect you with a nearby owner for a demo. Contact the sales department at Casita. There is no obligation to purchase, but if you do, the owner gets a small bonus.

I did contact Casita on this program, I have not heard back from them yet.

We love our2019 Casita. It is just the wife & me. We spent last summer out west. We live in Virginia. When we bought our Casita I did not know about all the other fiberglass trailers. Look at all of them including in Canada. See what fits you. I saw an Escape Trailer & liked it. If my budget allowed it I would get the 5th wheel. I think all the fiberglass trailers are great. One word of advice, there are campers out there that are all-electric. We almost bought one. We have learned propane is nice when you do not have electric power.

I think Gerry has a 16 and they are no longer in production.

We're in Framingham (MA). If you're ever in the area, feel free to come by and visit our Casita Spirit 17 (2013). We are thinking of moving to a larger trailer, so it may even become available. . .

Did you contact them via email or text, or did you actually talk to someone? My experience with Casita is they are very responsive over the phone, and not responsive at all on text or email. They answered one of my email requests FOUR years later......

Call them and talk to a person.

I emailed and Harald has been pretty responsive to my questions. Maybe they upped their game with email. The only lull in response is the time zone difference and I first emailed on the weekend.

I believe what the original post said was that he wanted to see some fb trailers so he could make a decision,

You are correct we would like to see a fairly close representation of the 17' Independence DLX model. So we could decide to order one or not. But also we would not have any issue with seeing other models to help form our decision.

I purchased our 2013 SD17 through Harold who was a delight - very helpful and useful suggtions. He could set you up with nearby owners for a viewing. Then your goose is cooked. The two totally satisfied owners who showed us their Casitas clinched our decision to purchase. Good luck!
