Smile Hello! Just joined the forum

I am a new to the forum. I just got my first trailer, a dream come true, given to me. I have read a little on the boards and am anxious to learn more about my trailer and a few of the repairs that need to be done. It seems this group is very knowledgeable!

Hi Deanna and welcome to the world of fiberglass. I'm sure you will love the little 13' Perris Pacer.

Is it ready to go or do you have to do some work?

What year is it? I'm sure we'd all like to see pics and details if possible.

Cheers,

to FiberglassRV Deanna! I see you're from Washington. There is a large group of all molded owners on the west coast. Be sure to check out the upcoming Rallies forum for egg gatherings happenin' in 2013. I know of two in Washington state and three in Oregon that are posted right now.

Hope to meet you in person!

Thank you!

Thank you for the warm welcome! Yes, I will get some photos posted. I am poking around and getting used to this site.

The trailer is a 1987. It is in usable condition as is, I think. LOL! Had a friend help me tow it home, not too far. Towed well, good tires. I notice a leak in front window seal before I moved it undercover. I will be redoing the floor.
It had some carpet square tiles I have pulled out. Also door and seal around it need a little help too.

Given to you? How lucky, what a nice gift! Looks to be in pretty decent shape. Have someone check your bearings and the date of your tires. Camper tires rarely look bad or wear out they just blow out after a certain amount of time/use or non use.
You'll have a ton of fun decorating!

Oh yes, I really do love the big window! My dad will be up for Christmas and I will have him help me go over it and look for more issues. I know I will need to do some resealing. I am seeing a few areas of hairline "crazing" on the outside near the middle area some by rivets. and one "blister" area near rear top lights.

The inside is pretty nice with all cushions intact, but definitely needing some recovering or resewing. I washed the curtains and they did not survive but I will sew some new ones.

The tires were new 2 or 3 years ago and have seen very little use. The former owners were hikers/backpackers and it got minimal use when they had it since they preferred to take a tent on their excursions. It was sitting under a carport for several years.

It is funny, since I brought it home I have had two notes, with phone numbers, stuck on my front door from strangers saying they would love to buy my trailer.

Make sure that trailer hitch and wheels are locked at night, sometimes unwanted solicitors are really up to no good, if you know what I mean!!

hi deanna and welcome! you have been gifted a terrific trailer and even though it's not yet perfect, it's perfectly yours!!!! those people leaving notes on your door are just the beginning. be prepared to stop and answer questions and be asked repeatedly to either show it or sell it!!

making new curtains/reupholstering the cushions will make it "your own". a little bit of work with a big payback in comfort and pride.
happy camping!
