Hello, My Name Is...

John! We're from Santa Cruz on Monterey Bay at the north end of California's Central Coast, early 60s, computer professionals, always liked the outdoors, photography, astronomy, and technology. Both kids are in their 20s, going to university and graduate school.

This spring, we bought a 2008 Casita 16' Spirit Deluxe, to tow behind our recently acquired 2008 Tacoma 4x4 Access Cab TRD Off Road...

Its been on at least 2000 miles of weekend and extended weekend trips with us so far, and we're loving it, but we're thinking of eventually upgrading to a Liberty or independence 17, with the twin beds that convert to a king configuration.

Hi John - We have a 2000 Casita 17' with the captain's chairs. With a custom mattress that we do not move, we have really enjoyed our travels. After trading our liberty and setting up the present configuration, we really enjoy a good night's sleep! The chairs provide comfortable seating for reading and relaxing. Good luck in your adventures.

Enjoy your Casita!

Welcome, we have a 2005 16 SD and love it too. Are those Ox brand 29ers in your pix? We have 2, made in Marin CA. Great in sand and single track trails from Michigan to California over the years.

nah, thee dark blue one is a Globe(Specialized) 'hybrid' with 700x38 Randonneur tires, fairly customized (didn't like the factory bars or crank, so adapted it to my preferences). the pale blue one behind it is my wife's fat tire step-through, also a Globe.

another pic of my Globe (but I've since removed the fenders as I've decided I'm just a fair weather rider in my 60s)....
