Hello New owner of a Playpac Hitch Hut Project

Hello all

We just picked up a new camper project. I was lucky to be able to identify it from your great community and learn lots about it. Not my first vintage camper rebuild but my first Fiberglass camper!

I've been toying with the idea of a teardrop for a couple years as we have smaller tow vehicles now and the kids are grown. This thing came up and looked like fun! More room than a teardrop and not much heavier plus we can stand up. Well almost, I can only stand up fully in the raised bubble dome but its in a good location. I will start a thread on the rebuild but I wanted to drop by here and say HI first!

Ash from Colorado

Welcome, and well done! Much more comfortable than a teardrop. Beds tend to be smaller, but you might be able to address that in your remodel. Cooking and eating inside when the rain is blowing sideways… priceless!

Do post pictures as you go!

Thank you John! I am planning to make a huge bed. Also will be more flexible as I so be able to make it into two smaller beds of camping with someone other than my wife. I’m pretty lucky with the playpac in that it’s pretty wide. I think 6’4 or 6’10 at the widest point.

I did try to post a test picture with a link from Google photos but it didn’t go thru. I’ll have to read up on how to do this but I will be posting some photos. All of your photos are very inspiring.

Ash
