Hi All!
Just finally getting around to joining Fibreglass RV! We have been so busy since getting our Bigfoot in 2017 so just now joining up. Hopefully we will be back from Mexico in time for the Quartzite Meeting.
Helen and I have been RVing all of our lives. Certainly in the 40 years we’ve been together anyways!
We have RV’d in truck canopies, truck campers, bumper pull trailers, fifth wheel trailers, Diesel Pusher class A motorhomes, class B motorhomes, well, you get the idea!
We have been full time RVing since 2007 and now split our year with 6 months in a Destination Trailer in Southern Alberta from mid April to mid October and on the road in our Bigfoot from mid October to mid April.
When we return to Alberta each summer it is to work. Helen has an office job and I operate our RV Service business.
Absolutely LOVE Canadian made RV’s and in particular our 2017 Bigfoot! And absolutely LOVE ALL Fibreglass RV’s!

Welcome, Tony and Helen!

Hard to argue with your Canadian bias, with Bigfoot and Escape being very well-regarded in these parts, and in past days, Trillium and the one that (kinda sorta) started it all, Boler.

But watch out- there are some great new US-made designs hitting the market lately: Oliver, Lil Snoozy, Parkliner, Happier Camper, Relic, Nest. And, of course, Scamp and Casita pumping out a steady supply of value-oriented trailers. Love our Scamp!

It's all good, and a great time for molded fiberglass in general. Happy travels!

Welcome to the FGRV forum family. You have to make Quartzsite at least once in your life, but if you do, you will return again and again.

Hi Jon! Thanks for the welcome!

We don’t get a lot of Fibreglass trailers in Canada other than the Canadian brands you mentioned.
Now we are starting to see more and more US brands and they are very nice! In November at Catalina State Park saw a new Oliver Legacy II. Verrrry nice!
We don’t have a dealer base for any US made Fibreglass RV’s as the market is flooded with non Fibreglass units - I could be wrong though.
As I work on all RV’s, I’ve had the unfortunate job of having to tell an RV owner that his unit has water entry and delamination damage or rot. Fibreglass construction is soooo much better!

Hello Tony and Helen, I hope you make it to Quartzsite . Be sure to stop by the Dome Rock area where the 'fibereglas people' will be in February . Hope to see you there. Julie and I were in in Alberta in July and enjoyed every mile, person, and site. If you like people, trailers, rocks, antiques, the desert and mild winter weather, you will like Quartzsite. If my foto shows it is a 39,000 lb aluminum cruiser that plies the Colorado River from Laughlin down the Colorado about 58 miles through the Toppock Gorge to Havasu City and London Bridge. It has two BIG diesel engines and I believe jet drive.You can camp many places along the Colorado from above Quartzsite to Needles and beyond.

Duke: we have the 25B25FB. Front queen bed.
From what I have heard quite a few folks prefer the rear queen model. For us though, we really love the front queen. We full time in this unit for six months at a time. The other six months we live in a 42’ Cedar Creek Cottage Destination Trailer. I wish it was built as well as the Bigfoot!
We have every option on this one except built in generator. Have added a few things. Solar 160W, two x 6V AGM batteries, MCD Shades, and changed all faucets including the shower to Moen single handle residential faucets. (I have faucet issues), Shaw Direct mount for dish on roof. And a bunch of little things.
As it is just two of us, this floor plan works really well. It really is a two person trailer in our opinion.
Tow with 2.7L F-150 and it won’t win any races but surprises me every time we tow how well they go together.
I would say we are very pleased and have nothing that we don’t like.

Sounds like an ideal setup. Been trying to do my homework on a new\used Bigfoot.

I just realized what I read initially. You said you were pulling a 25 foot BF with a 2.7L vehicle?

Hi Duke.
Yes, pulling with an F-150 4x4 with 2.7 twin turbo ecoboost. Tow rating is 7500.

Wow, that's amazing, I guess I didn't realize how strong a 2.7 can be..
Maybe mine 8.1L is a bit of overkill..

Hi Duke.
We are in the same mindset. No replacement for displacement.
This 2.7 is an amazing motor. Also get very good fuel economy also.
I got the F-150 on a two payment lease. One payment at the start and the last at the end. 50/50 and then own outright.
That is what keeps me wanting to stay with the F-150.
Using the Equalizer hitch with 1500 lb bars levels well but still squats a bit. I added Timbren rubber springs and is great.
Really like the new F-250 but hate the fuel economy!
This truck does really well on the fuel!

Sounds like the ideal setup given the fuel economy and what it's capable of
Towing. I looked at the Tundra today. Pretty truck.
