Hi

Hi am Nanci, I just adopted a very sad, ugly ct13 I hope to bring it back to a happy life. I thank you for all the information posted here. I’ve been soaking up all the advice so I find where to start. I know I have a long road ahead. Thank you.

We had a Uhaul for several years, then sold it. To find a lot of info: go to the Home page here, on the left find "Resources" and click on "Document Center". Go to the bottom of the page where it lists "Trailer brand manufacturer" and click on "Uhaul" and all kinds of info will come up. There also is a real good Uhaul facebook group that has a "files" section with a lot of good info. You'll find that there are common problems with these trailers, and that many parts are unique to them and no longer available.

Congratulations! There are lots of folks who can provide tips about restoring these old beauties. Don’t be shy about sharing pictures, too!

Thanks. When I figure out how to post a pic of my beast I’m sure all will have a good laugh.

Yep, that's bad. First things you want to check is the frame, the tube sections rot out. Then check the floor, and learn about the window issues. Then on to all the odd stuff about these trailers. And before anyone says to grease the wheel bearings, they are sealed units and can not be serviced. Also these trailers did not have brakes and they can't be added unless you replace the axle.
