Hi All from Nova Scotia

We have a 1976 Ventura. Good shape, easy to pull. Considering painting the little bugger. May upgrade the interior fabrics. Thats about it. We would love to know where we could buy new windows. Most of our window winders are striped. We have to tape the window when traveling the trailer. Pain in the butt. We live in Upper Sackville, just outside of Halifax. Would like to talk with other Ventura owners close by.

Thanks,
Greg and Sheree

Hi Greg and Sheree, welcome to FiberglassRV... you'll find Ventura owners here. You'll find replacing the operators on your windows A LOT cheaper than replacing the windows! 3-way refrigerators and windows are the most expensive items to replace on these wonderful eggs...

Do you have any pictures you'd like to share?

Not close by but also have a 76 ventura out in Edmonton that we have been fixing up. The window winders are the same as in the bolers and are quite cheap(around $8 each). The window panes can be removed very easy with a couple of screws. The rubber seals for the bottom of the panes are available at Vintage Trailer Supply - parts and supplies for vintage travel trailers!.
Just replaced the water tank tonight. The boler tank is still available out here in Edmonton(the original tanks were made here and they still make them)

My Ventura pics are in the gallery under Ventura and http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...ura-46974.html

Thanks Dave,

We did come across your paint job thread. Great information. Great colours. We find lots of vintage FG trailers around here but for the most part people muck around with them. Thinking they are doing the trailer a favour when in fact they lose interest in the project and you are left with a mess. Our Ventura was well maintained, we are the 3rd owners. Not bad for a 35 year old trailer, same age as our son.

Thanks again for the window information, Sheree will be thrilled to death.

Greg.
