Hi all, I'm back, & with a Fiber Egg, finally...

After many years of searching, and losing out on several opportunities, either by timing, location or price...
I finally came across a 1981 Trillium 4500, last week, and only 1 1/2 hrs away, very pleased!
It has been stored in a garage for what the current owner believes to be around 12 -13 years.
He says it may be one of the last off the line?

Other than the front left corner hitting a branch, (Ouch) which has been fiber-glassed on the inside and now solid, the exterior needs the same completed, which I will do, as the remainder of the trailer is in good condition, and I am very much looking forward to updating and personalizing her.
She needs all new cushions, fabrics and the 3 way fridge re-installed.
I appreciate that she has the twin seats upfront, therefore it will become the 2 person dinette, allowing for a full time bed in the rear.

serial # 45-1111714, curious when she was manufactured on the line?

Looks like your off to a really good running start. So let the fun begin!! We had so much personalising ours.
I made our curtains with blackout and thurmal lining's. Also it gave me a chance to add pockets on the fronts for small things like reading glasses, pill boxs, paperback books, maps. They look great and served our double duty rule.
Have fun and just enjoy life camping.

Yes, I am looking forward to the project, and learning along the way.
I used to have a Trillium 1300, about 20 years ago that I renewed,
so the 4500, is just a bonus... I cannot wait to begin, picking her up
tomorrow.

Congratulations Jake. That looks great!

We love our Trillium 4500 and have already towed it well over 15,000 miles/150 nights.

I really like your front dinette (rare). Also appears the previous owner started the belly band repair on your Trillium 4500. Check that it has the fish plates for reinforcement on the sides of the frame rails (at the bends).

Hello John, and agreed , I really like the 4500, great size, and the front dinette will be a nice addition, I never used the front couch in my previous 1300,
just a place to drop your stuff on, lol.

Seaross, I have always been the big brother in my family, guess it works for
my trailer as well, lol.
I like your pictures, what is the framing for, I didn't see a finished product,
I am assuming bedroom?

Good on ya! I bought my 13’ Burro about 8 years ago when the rotten corner of my decrepit stickie collapsed completely. I had to scramble, and found it 12+ hours away near Chicago. Getting yours so close to home was a bonus!

Hello there Froggie, and thank you very much, yes it was very lucky
being close by, and literally on the same road where my Sister and
Bro in law live!
I just towed it to their place,where I will have access to necessary tools
and space to begin it's restoration.
I am looking forward to beginning the process this Monday....
