Hi everybody !!

Hello fiberglass enthusiasm !! I have been searching for long time for fibreglass rv information on this site but I am now full member.

I'am a trillium jubilee '81 proud owner. Got it 3 years a go, spend much time under it than camping with it ( because i want it perfect !!) It has roughly original equipment but what i change was upgrade. I add a marine battery on tongue, fantastic fan (with perfectly fit in the original hole), change the 120v braker (because i broke the reset nipple), convert the inside rear light with led, ...

For the mechanic information.. I have a anti-swing and electric brake. I tow it with a 2010 dodge grand-caravan sxt 4L engine. It as automatic 6 speed with towing package. I also use a air deflector on top of it, it allow me to drive in 6'nd gear wich is impossible without (always alterning between 5 and 6 gear). Consummation is about 13.6 liter per 100 km.

Next travel will be old-orchard friday next.

So, really proud to be with your community and feel free to ask me question !!

Daniel,

That's a handsome trailer. The pictures are nice high-resolution ones. Thanks for posting the album.

That's an interesting observation about the air deflector. Most people run back and forth along a route when they are trying to evaluate a device; that doesn't always work very well.

However, it sounds like it's really accomplishing something if you can hold 6th instead of hunting between gears.

Regards,
Mike

Hi everybody !!

Where did you get the air deflector that is on the top of your tow vehicle?

Besides eliminating the up-shifting and down-shifting, what was the effect on mpg with and without the deflector?

Just curious ...... 😉

Hi Rdickens,
I found it on kijiji for 50$. On the highway without the deflector my consummation is ~17 liter/100 km. I put my transmission on 5th gear to avoid it to constantly switching between 5 and 6 th gear. With the deflector it give ~13.5 liter/100km. I calcul I need 1300 km to paid the deflector...
Hope it help you :-)

13.5 liter/100 = 21 miles/g
17 liter/100 = 17 miles/g

If you have a kijiji link or item number or brand-name, that might be helpful.
I would seriously like to find/buy one of those! 😊

Hi, i don't know if I should open a new thread but 2 month a go I decided to ad an 1000w pure sine inverter but...

...I alway want to change the plywood under the linoleum. Doing a big job, so taking off everything from the shell. Why ? The plywood seem rotten in some place, mostly under the front passenger side storage place. There always got a fish odour from there. Now, believe me, the inverter is still in his box and my jubilee is a mess.

Here somme other pic of demolition. The plywood is not in bad shape for 1981. But removing all the plywood mean removing e-ve-ry-thing...electricity, propane, cabinet, etc...

The plywood does'nt seem to be glue to the fiberglass shell but is a part of it. A friend of mine work with those product and suggest me to use premium glue to hold it in place.

Now the main cabinet back in place. The heater, converter, stove, propane line and electricity are in place. Did you know this cabinet doesn't pass through the door ?? Thats the main reason I did not be able to replace the floor in one shot, I had to put it in storage in the back part of the trillium.
The cabinet which hold the fridge is in place too. Tomorrow I'll replace the fridge in his place.

Good progress Daniel. Moving through it pretty quickly. Well done, and thanks for all the detailed pics. You'll be out camping before you know it.

Hi again, reno goes well but I took a break to install a combo pool-deck-heater in my backyard. So, I had to make it rush cause I went to a federal park ( Parc de la mauricie) without any service. I putted back all the electrical device including my new inverter, new converter, solar controller and new wiring from the battery (4 gage if I remember well).

On the last pics that what I founded to attach my trillium to my new car (honda pilot 2013). With the old one the trillium was to hight. I know there is rattle but I have an anti-rattle for the part come in my truck and planning to weld the adjustment to my specific height.
