Hi from David Wilson - Kingston, Ontario

Hi,

My name is David Wilson, I'm from Ontario - Canada. I have a 13' Vintage 1973 Boler Camper Trailer that is in need of some moderate restoration work. The trailer is located in the Kingston/Napanee area. I have a couple of people that are going to take a look at my camper and give me an estimate on a restoration.

I'd love to see and hear what other people have done with their Boler's. And, maybe any sources for official Boler supplies for my restoration.

Thank you all. Take care, looking forward to hearing from everyone.

David

Welcome, David!

Here's one great site, both for information and some specialty parts. The owner, Ian G., is a member here.
Proud-Canadian.com

Will you be making plans to be part of the Boler 50th Anniversary Rally?

Happy camping!

Welcome, David! You will get lots of good info from this site, both archived and "fresh". The wealth of knowledge here is unsurpassed.

That said, the idea of bringing it to EggFest is a great one! I don't know how familiar you are to the concept of rallies, but in case you aren't, the general idea is to provide a gathering of like-minded individuals to talk all-things fibreglass and to share a ton of knowledge.... and to share a ton of laughs with a bunch of folk who can "talk the talk and walk the walk".

This rally is being held, again, just outside of Cobourg, so quite close to you!
It's held on the last weekend in May to allow the many Americans who come to get an extra travel day, as this is their Memorial Day weekend.

Whether or not your Boler is renovated doesn't matter. You will make connections and get ideas. Saturday morning is an Open House where everyone checks out the other trailers, gets their own ideas for future modifications and socializes.

We haven't been able to attend the last couple of them but the 3 we did make it to were good times.

This is thoughtful and good advice from Theresa. Heck David, even if circumstances don't allow you to attend, you would be welcome and are close enough to make it a day trip on the Saturday for the "snoop tour".

We have been faithfully attending since the inception of Eggfest but will probably be on-the-road elsewhere this year.

to Fred

fred ever drove a Harley 45? I only saw one in person this was in the 50s stick shift I never attempted to drive it scared me to death as I maintain a death grip on all motorcycles.

I bet he did have stories my neighbor bought one when he was a young man they towed it 30 miles by a car as it wouldn't run!

scary to me

bob

oh and welcome to the newcomer!!
