Hi from Jeanie
Hi there! Chris, Duke, Buster and I are proud new owners of a 16' Scamp Deluxe. We've wanted one for years and hoped to support a local/MN business. Our dream came true this year and we graduated from a Palomino popup...so excited to extend our camping season as much as possible. Neither one of us is on the handy side and am so jealous of the custom made changes posted on the forum. We've used our Scamp a few times since August and we're getting used to the layout. I have a shopping list for Ikea, as they seem to know how to capitalize on maximizing small spaces. I finally agreed that we could use the toilet this past weekend with frosty temps in SE MN. We camp with 2 Boxers, our fur kids. We enjoy the amenities and our expectations have been met, if not exceeded.

Welcome, a brand new deluxe as Jim says we definitely needs pictures!
That's funny about the toilet, I was the same when I had my Scamp 16!

Hesitate using the toilet? That is why it is there. I have to admit though when we got one I still headed for the door then went "I no longer have to go outside, duh."

Thank you for the warm welcome! I will post pictures soon. Getting a new Scamp is a luxury for us, to be sure. We call her, "Sin on Wheels," (in a nice way) for that reason. My husband and I have always said the nicest people we meet are our fellow campers.

Can't imagine not using the toilet. However, due to the small black tank in our Egg Camper, we use park facilities during the day (usually). The toilet has saved our bacon MANY times while on the road with no other "port in the storm" available. You'll have tons of fun with the whole thing, toilet included.

Hi: Jeanie... I can concur about the toilet...still haven't put down anything concrete, in 5 yrs.
Then again we've 2 showers 1 inner/ 1 outer and use CG. facilities all the time. I haven't the nerve to shower outside!!!
BTW WELCOME and enjoy..."Glass is class".

Welcome Jeanie, thats a nice set up!
The cool nights and when camped in areas where bears and other wildlife are known to roam, as well as when camping in areas with few or no facilities are the times when I most appreciate having a bathroom & the price I pay for using it by having to empty out the black water tank seems very small & well worth it. As a long time back country back packing tent camper, it also always feels very luxurious being able to have a warm shower in the privacy of the trailer when camping in undeveloped areas - even if it is a very tiny trailer by others standards.
Hope you make lots of great memories with your trailer.
