Hi from Mike near Hagerstown, MD
Hi! My wife and Golden Retriever and I travel a lot and are looking to get a fiberglass Travel Trailer. We've done more traveling outside the country. We're planning on spending some of the winter months in warmer parts of the U.S. We'll have our instruments and art supplies and tablet computers. We have a Toyota Tacoma with a cap on it, so we can store things in there as well.
I just signed up on the forum today and have to say how glad and impressed I am with the friendliness and helpfulness of the members. It seems we're getting into a different world here .
Looking forward to it.
My tendency is to want to have as much space and amenities as possible and my wife wants the smallest possible trailer. So, we need to search a lot and come to a compromise!
Mike

Lots of choices Mike, but a fiberglass trailer is definitely the way to go for ease of towing, weight and durability. I would suggest attending one of the larger fiberglass trailer rallies, where you can see different sizes and models from lots of manufacturers. Makes the choosing SO much easier.

Hi Jim,
Thanks for the offer! I've liked the Escape 21's I've seen online. Since I'm new, what is the Blackjack? I'll send a personal message when my wife and I can find a time to go to York.
Mike

BlackJack is the name I put on my Escape 21, it is a play on words as when you play blackjack it is also called "21" which is what the Escape is, a 21' model. In addition I had a wonderful blacklab named BlackJack who has since passed over the rainbow bridge. So it is named in his memory...

Oh I see! I thought maybe it was a model. I did note the association with 21! Nice memorial. I can relate to how much a dog can mean to us. Do you have a 2008 Harley, too? Or is that not relevant?! I have a 2007 Road King, but plan to sell it. I was a CPA many years ago - work in IT now.
