Hi from MN! I own aluminum trailers but am looking for fiberglass

Hello,
I just looked at an older 13' Cloud trailer in pretty good shape. The guy was storing it for his friend and wasn't sure he was interested in selling it. I gave him my name/number and have been saying my prayers daily since! I can't seem to stop thinking about it though! I almost bought a 13' Uhaul trailer 5 years ago but my husband talked me out of it, darn it! it was only $1500!
If anyone has a lead on a used trailer in MN or nearby I am definitely interested!
Thanks for your help!

Welcome to FGRV, and happy hunting. I see you are already into the rounded shape. What have your experiences with the Avion and Airstream been like? Lots of upkeep? Just curious.

Hi,Well the 1959 28' Airstream is in excellent condition and was the family trailer. It has always been in a building covered up when not in use. It has been all over the US and in Mexico as far as Mexico city. It's a great trailer but a little big for the two of us now. The 1962 20' Avion we just bought 2 weeks ago and are restoring it. I am stripping the cabinets now and will be varnishing them, painting the interior, new upholstery and polishing the outside. It should be great when its done! I would like the fiberglass trailer for myself to take on my longer bike trips. I sure hope I can get that Cloud. It was made in my home town. We like to work on various projects like these, some people think we're crazy I'm sure!
Please let me know if you know of any smaller trailers for sale, thanks!

Being a little crazy is a positive attribute hereabouts, especially if you are addicted to "Projects" as am I.... LOL

Did you notice there are two gatherings in MN the first weekend of May.

If you are interested in joining us go to the rally forum. there is a place to put in MN and MN gatherings will come up.

the Mille Lacs Kathio campground is getting pretty full now.

Welcome to the group.

Hi, welcome! I just took a quick look in fiberglass-rv-4sale-dot-com, and found this Cloud in Wisconsin. It might be a ways from you, and if so, check that website for others. Good luck!

Thank you for letting me know and we would LOVE to go but we will be in
Ireland the first 2 weeks of May celebrating our anniversary. Perhaps the
later date might work.
Problem is we don't have a fiberglass trailer yet and our Avion trailer is
torn apart right now. The Airstream is almost too big to pull around for
just the two of us. But we could just come down for the weekend to see all
of the other campers and stay in a hotel.

If the other Cloud you looked at doesn't work out, you could offer this owner an amount that you felt comfortable with. The worst thing that can happen is that you get to look inside his refurb'd Cloud but don't get to keep it.
