Smile Hi from Morgan Hill CA

Hi Everyone,

My wife and I are now the proud owners of a lightly used 2002 Casita 17. We will both be retired by May and are excited about all the travel and camping opportunities ahead of us.

We have camped and sailed all of our lives, mostly in Oregon and points north, even in to BC. We are hoping to explore the US from the Rockies westward now. That's a lot of area to cover, but we now have a highly mobile trailer to help us do it!

I understand that there will be a fiberglass RV rally in King City CA in early May? Can some of you tell us more about what to expect?

Thanks,

Tom

Welcome, Tom! Congratulations on your upcoming retirement.

With more time, don't discount points east of the Rockies. While my adopted home and preference is the West, I grew up in the mid-Atlantic and my family camped all over. Maine and the Maritimes, New England and upstate New York, Appalachia, Chesapeake Bay, Gulf Coast, Ozarks- lots of beautiful places to visit over there, too. Get those wheels turning...

Happy travels!

What is it like?
The people who go are fantastic!
The hosts are wonderful!
Most spots are pull through.
Lots of trees.
Last year it was flannel shirt weather and windy.
There is a small club house but we eat meals outside.
Lots of extraordinarily cast iron cooking.
Demonstrations and classes.
There is a nice museum, both indoor and outdoor.
If you have bikes it's a nice bike park.
Some sites have sewer and some do not.
Plenty of trash cans around.
Nice ranger who makes the rounds quite often.
Free hot showers.
Restrooms are clean and are cleaned often.
Fun!
