I've been hanging around here for a year, and finally decided to introduce myself. I am a Pastor at a small church in downtown Ajax. I started looking for a small travel trailer for my sabbatical last Jan-Mar, planning to do a road trip in Lousiana/Florida/Georgia.
I purchased a 1987
Cadet in August 2013 and spend the last year gutting and restoring it. I've also spent a lot of time going through the posts and pictures here, getting wisdom and ideas from those more experienced than myself. I have moderate technical skills, enough to get by, but mostly made it up as I went along. Thanks to all of you for your help!!!!!
I was able to use the trailer for my sabbatical, and we were also able to use it for family camping this summer. I am very pleased with how it has worked out. As you will see, I changed the interior dramatically from the original to match our style of camping.
Anyway, will start to post pictures and share the restoration journey as it went along. Here is the trailer as I bought it last August (Hoping that I do the pictures correctly).
