hi from Ontario (trillium 1300 owner)
we are newish owners of a 1980 trillium 1300 we bought our trailer almost 2 years ago so we have only had one full season using our little egg.
We are always learning about how to organize our little home away from home each trip. The trailer was in great condition but still needs some work so we have been picking away little bit by little at some changes and renovations.
The first year was getting wolfie (trailer named by our then 6 year old daughter) set up with the 'needs'. Now we this season I am working on making her work better, this years projects are the floor (the bane of my existence on muddy camping trips), the food organzation, off season will be some frame repair, screen replacement, and some minor interior repair, next year will be interior remodel (replace cushions, painting).
Its a labour of love, we don't have a lot of extra time with our work schedules and daughter's schedule but we have loved every minute of what we have done so far. I love that our daughter has all the memories of her summers in this little egg.

I grew up camping and oh, the fun stories I can tell! I think that kids and camping are a natural combination
Have fun with your Trillium, and please post photos, we love seeing them

Trillium camping
Congatulations on acquiring your 13 ft Trillium. When I hear stories like yours, it reminds me of the years my wife and I took our only child camping in our 13 ft trillium we called' the Little Green Pea.' We would put the bunk beds up and use the upper bunk for our suit cases. Our daughter slept on the bottom bunk. She would play with her toys there as she grew.
She was 6 mths old when we took her for her first camping experience. We remember it so clearly cause we woke up that cold fall morning to find that the furnace had gone out and our daughter was awake looking over at us with a red nose and cold hands. She had partially crawled out of her sleeping bag. We had a great snuggle time after though. She has camped most her life with us and now she and our son-in-law take our two beautiful granddaughters camping. It truly is a family experience. I hope your family will enjoy many memorable years of camping in your Trillium. ENJOY!!!

funny you mentioned the heater, our first year having the trailer we went camping one last trip for CDN thanksgiving, beautiful warm weather in the day but down right chilly at night. Went to go use the heater for the first time, never worked that well so we bundled up and decided that would be an off season project to figure out how to use it.
Then my friend and neighbour scared the crap out of me telling me a story of a near miss with a childhood friend and their older trailer and an ailing heater and gas leaking, so we opted for the few times we use the heater that we would get a tiny space heater that had the safety features of anything touches it, tips over it turns off and we will eventually take the heater out and use that precious space as a cupboard for food. That is a down the road project.

Try to not destroy the heater when you remove it. There are those of us who would love to buy it from you.

I will remember that, we haven't taken it out, but the story of my friends friend almost dying from a gas leak made us never use it. Not that it did that but it scared the @%#%@# out of us that we have never tried using it again. We haven't had it looked at to see why it won't heat that much.

The gas valve is the usual culprit. Your pilot light probably comes on, but not the main burner. The part number for the orignal gas valve is 41-0640. Replacement gas valves can be purchased, but the ports are in different places, so some tube bending experience comes in handy. I would have a professional install it.
This is the best price I have found for a valve that claims to replace a 41-0640:
Robertshaw® 710-201 Unitrol Gas Valve 710 Series 7000SLC Right Valve® Equivalent
