Hi, I am a proud new FGRV owner

I live in British Columbia Canada and my girlfriend and I are outdoor enthusiast and we just perchased a 1979 triple e surf side FGRV. I am going to do a complete restoration and would love some input and ideas from you experienced FGRV handyman/women owners. I got the entire interior gutted out now so it's just the fibreglass shel. now I'm going to start sanding and doing any fibreglass repairs (if any) to prep for paint.

Any preference to sand paper grit? Or what paint to go with and any other steps I should possibly take at this stage?.

Thanks 😊

The link below will take you to a long, detailed thread of a total rebuild of a MFG trailer that will answer most of your questions as you proceed. Good luck on yours and note that we all love pictures.

Welcome. If you are on the island there is a fiberglass meet-up on Sept. 9 - 11 at Sooke River Campground. Let me know if you want more details.
