Hi, I am Aldrene

My husband and I just purchased a 2017 Bigfoot Travel Trailer and are getting acquainted with all its bells and whistles. We are in the South San Jose area.

New Big Foot

Hi Jon,

Ours is the 21 1/2 foot one, model 25B21RB, with a rear corner bed. Our first trailer was a Casita 13 that we had many years ago and later a Casita 17 and a Scamp 13. Since then we've had a few other trailers. It's good to be back in the fiberglass community.

Welcome, Aldrene and congratulations on your new rig! Perhaps you might attach a few photos to show it off. We love photos.

A couple of years ago, we attended a rally where there was only one trailer bigger than 17'. It was a Bigfoot 21. Wow! What a stunner it was! And as luck would have it, the owners LOVED showing it off, which was good because there was a long lineup to tour it.

As you've mentionned, you have owned a variety of fiberglass trailers. Is there one particular reason you decided on the Bigfoot, aside from the obvious one of size??

Good to have you here.

Also looking at BigFoot

Welcome Aldrene! Have you sleep in the bed yet? My wife wants walk around
bed. Dosn't like crawling over me to get out from our 16' scamp.
I'm concerned about towing 8'4" wide trailer. What is your vehicle?
Thanks Steve

New Big Foot

Hi Steve,

We haven't slept in the bed yet, but it is 54 inches wide and can be entered and exited from the foot so you don't have to crawl over anyone. We had a 21.5 Lance before buying the Big Foot and one of the reasons we sold it was to avoid crawling over your spouse since it had a front bed.

We tow with a Ford F-150 Eco-Boost 6 cylinder truck which does fine. The extra width does affect the aerodynamics some, but you don't really notice the extra 4 inches when towing.

Xho,

I'm new at using the forum and am trying to reply to Theresa p.'s post. I clicked on the word balloon icon to write this message. Theresa, are you receiving this? If so, I'll send you some pictures of the Big Foot.

Hi Aldrene----sorry, no photos or message received. Perhaps you'd be so kind as to post any photos you have here on this forum so everyone can check them out. The way to do it is explained by going to FAQ on the blue toolbar, clicking on the sending and posting messages link and choosing attaching images.
There is most likely another easier way to figure it out, but this is the way I have to do it, with my limited computer skills.

Thanks!
