Hi, I am Darren from Canada
I currently have a 1979 Trillium Jubilee trailer . Have owned Trilliums for the past 10 plus years.
I need help locating a control valve for the Coleman 4312 furnace . Is this the right area to get some pointers as to how to get parts? I know they don't make new parts any more but used is pretty scarce as well.
The issue is that the pilot will light but burner will not . Have brand new battery and have checked the thermostat by bypassing it.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Darren, welcome to the group. Have you blown out the line with compressed air? Doesn't take much to clog it up, a bit of dirt, a spider web for an example.

CANADA?
Hi Darren, welcome to the club.
I am a Canadian too, but have been living in IOWA since 1965.
It bugs me when folks in the USA say things like, " I've been to Iowa, Wisconsin, Montana, North Dakota, and Canada".
Canada is a country, the others are states.
Canadians need to educate these 'mericans. that Canada has provinces.
Be proud of yours and say Alberta!
The rest of you forum readers, would do well to study the maps and learn the provinces of Canada.... please!

Darren, the model of your furnace is a Coleman 4312, but actually the model number of your gas valve is what is necessary. While they may not make the exact valve any more, they probably have a functional replacement.
As an example, I have a Duo-Therm 65512-2 furnace:
http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...wer-54226.html
It uses a 41-0640 gas valve, which is no longer made, but a replacement is available, at a reasonable cost:
Robertshaw® 710-201 Unitrol Gas Valve 710 Series 7000SLC Right Valve® Equivalent
Trouble is, the ports are in different places, so some tube bending is required.
I have located the manual for your furnace:

Gee Wayne, you've been here 50 years and still don't know that it's insulting to AMERICANS to abbreviate their countries name.
And it sure doesn't bother AMERICANS when Neil Diamond sings "Coming to AMERICA" or when Bruce Springstien sings "Born in the USA" without mentioning a state. And when my friends from Australia and New Zealand come to visit they never say "We're going to California", they say "We are going to America".
And my sweet, maternal Grandmother, the purist heart on the planet, always said "I was born a Canadian, (PEI, 1899) now I am an AMERICAN". Her often used name for those that moved to AMERICA and didn't become citizens was "Tourists"

We must be very careful with the gas.
I had a Jubilee in 1980 for 7 years and I had the same problem, perhaps it is not the same case for your trailer.
I went to a propane specialist and he found a small leak on the copper pipe that was between the valve controlled by the pilot and founaise.
The pilot lit, but the gas was escaping before going to the furnace.
Be careful with propane.
Do you have a propane detector in your caravan, it's very important ...

It was provided as an example. Can you read the number off of your valve?
