Hi, I am Dennis G Looking for a Hunter Compact or similar

I am new to the forum. I am interested in a Hunter Compact or similar trailer that I can restore/modify to my liking and most importantly, store in a standard garage with 7' door height. I have heard rumor that some folks have managed to store older Scamps in a 7' garage. If anyone has successfully done so, please feel free to share how.

I have been amazed at the amount of information and images posted on the forum pages. Wow! There are some talented folks out there.

I am looking forward to a fun project and the travel possibilities that follow.

For your reading pleasure, this will provide you with search results for many of the posts on this forum dealing with squeezing a trailer into a standard garage: search results

The short version is brace the garage door all the way up with 2x4s and put tiny wooden wheels on it to move it into the garage. Are you set on an egg or have you considered something more convenient for that type of storage like an Aliner?

I appreciate the Heads up on the Campster and the information on squeezing a camper into a tight garage. Will go take a look at both. Thanks!

Little wheels. It is a pain to take them off and on, but we put 8 inch wheels with tires on our ‘75 Boler so we can push it into our garage.
