Hi I am new

I am new to site and am looking for info as to what I can use with a 2014 Subaru Forester, my wife and I want to be able to take some weekend getaways in woods of north and east Texas.

K. Welcome!

Lots of Subaru owners here, (not me). I am sure you will get feedback.

First check the towing specifications in the owners manual for YOUR vehicle. It appears that the maximum towing limit from on-line sources is 1000 lbs without trailer brakes, 1500 lbs with trailer brakes. But again, check your manual, that's the absolute word.

Here is a link to typical weights of trailers loaded and ready to go. They were made at an owners rally as campers arrived:

Aside from common sense and liability/insurance issues, there have been mentions on the site about excessive mechanical wear in a Subaru attributed to towing over maximum weight with that particular Subaru.

You have a tough nut to crack as only the smallest FGRV's will fit your towing specifications, but we love our Hunter Compact-II at 1300 lbs.

Be sure to ask lots of questions.

Hmmmm,,,, There are bunch of Subaru TV's on the site. If you don't get replies, re-enter you request with Subaru in the title
