Hi, I am Sheree

My wife and I ordered a Scamp back in March. We will get it in November of 2022.
I've been researching, watching YouTube videos of other Scamp owners, and learning the "lingo" of RVers.

Welcome, Sheree, and congratulations on joining the Scamp family! We love our 13’ front bunk model. Which version did you order?

We bought ours used, so we missed out on the factory visit part.. Very exciting! Hopefully by next fall COVID will not be a big problem and you can get the full tour.

We ordered a 13' front bathroom. We probably won't be able to get a tour of the factory because Backus Minnesota is a long drive from Western Washington. Especially in November.

welcome

Welcome Sheree! As far as lingo tips you will hear the term 'rat fur' when ever Scamps are talked about. They say people love it or hate it. Personally I think it's great. The only problem that I am aware is it can retain odors, easily fixed. When your opportunity arrives and your setting at your table, maybe enjoying a view, reach up and give it a little rub....great stuff!
One issue you may want to be aware of is when you are part of the group and you are on the road you will find your self trying to identify other fiberglass campers. It can be distracting and dangerous so I leave that duty up to your navigator. They will learn the nuances of fiberglass identification.

Sheree, Your Boler is likely lined with what I call ‘elephant skin’, or Ensolite. A black closed cell foam covered in an off white vinyl. The ‘rat fur’ referred to above is a light brown, marine head liner, usually over Reflectix insulation.

Why did I think you had a Boler? Getting old.

A new Boler-owning member posted the same day, so I presume the wires got crossed. It’s happened to me numerous times. Don’t know about “old,” but my memory chip needs defragging!

It's been some time since visiting this forum. Is it taking that long for Scamp to deliver a trailer?
