Hi, I am Tracy and I am a Boleraholic ...

... I mean, I just purchased a 1975 13' Boler that I hope to use to relocate from Calgary, AB to anywhere, BC within the near future.

Right now, I am doing the work to Glam it up and ensure it's roadworthiness to get ready for my imminent departure. Already I have been faced with some challenges but I am determined to realize my dream. I am a single, empty nester seeking a simpler way of life. I have always wanted a Boler and woke up two weeks ago deciding now was the right time. I posted an ad that day and bought the trailer the following week!
I have already named her "Blossom" as I understand this is customary and a time-honoured tradition! The name has significant meaning to me and therefore, most appropriate.

I have been actively perusing this website for a few weeks and learning as much as possible from all the wonderful members here. I am grateful for the wealth of knowledge and experience that is available. Hats off to you all!! I hope I, too, can be of service as I venture into the Boler abyss!!

Welcome Tracey, once you hit BC you will need to come out to one of our FG Trailer meets where you will meet a number of like minded women. :-)

Enjoy your new trailer and the trip..... take your time coming out as you know there are some amazing sights to see along the way.

Hi Tracy,
Welcome! I admire what you are doing. Simple is good Are you going to live in Blossom for a while, or is she more for travel?

Tracy...if I didn't know better, I would think I wrote that.....empty nester, simpler way of life etc. I too just bought my 13' Scamp and had no idea what I was getting myself in for, and it was probably a good thing or I may not have bought it. Looking forward to hearing more about what lays ahead and your adventures. I'm working on mine every chance I can get so I can get out there and enjoy it.

welcome Tracey

Welcome Tracey. I like your dream and wish you well in living it out. I think the saying goes " if you want things to change you have to start doing things differently ". You have made the first, and probably scariest, step. Godspeed. Lee and Norma

Thumbs up The other coast

Hey Tracy [and Blossom] and welcome. I can understand your desire to head west. It's beautiful out there and there is lots to see and do [the hospitality is not too bad either]. But remember, there are two other coastlines to explore and ours is easier to get to so make plans to point your compass east before too long.
If you leave BC after the 24 weekend it should be warmed up by the time you get here. Good luck in your travels. Let me know when you are heading east... D.

Boleraholics are especially susceptible to such side effects as:
large amounts of fresh air and exercise
beautiful scenery
campfire conversation
long periods of peace and quiet
sleeping in
more fun than a person is normally allowed

It sounds like a dangerous addiction!

Hi Tracey and Group. My name is Jimbo. I'm a Traileraholic. 5 total. One sold. That leaves 4- 50,s through 1980. 4 decades worth

#1) 1955 unknown Canned ham. 12'. Sold it
#2) 1957 Terry 15'
#3) 1964 Sante Fe Cub 12'
#4) 1971 Campster Pop-up
#5) 1980 Scamp 12'

Of course I'd love more but I have no room and no time.

LOL

I'm a happy addict!!!!

Hi Tracy, I'm Andrew and I am no a Trilliumoholic. Till recently, I was in denial and I thought that I'm not a ...holic of any kind because ...holics went to the meetings and I did not. Now, I booked a spot at Bolerama so, I will go to The Meet! Somebody, please stop me. I don't know how it will end. I'm getting deeper and deeper into the habit of trailering and the scary thing is, I enjoy every second of it!

Hi Jimbo, on any given occasion what criteria do you use to decide which trailer to take?

You and Ed could compare notes....
