Red face Hi, I'm Britney

Hey! I'm Britney from Regina, Sask. I bought a 1971 boler project last fall without seeing it first(long story). I couldn't handle tenting another year. I don't have a family to worry about so I just wanted something for me to enjoy. The previous owner had new cabinets built with a new layout, I couldn't resist. I just wanted these cabinets. When it arrived in Regina(after a long 8+ hr drive) the door was held on with a tie strap, my key was actually the door handle and most of the cabinet doors had fallen off. Also the front end had a really bad sag going on. My dad is helping me out with most of the work and I've got a little extra help from the boyfriend for the major fibreglass repairs. It needs everything, lots of work to do! The front sag has been mostly repaired by removing the old patch job(holding everything in the wrong place), jacking it up and redoing the fibreglass on the floor and above the door. Seems to be holding fairly close to perfect. There are a lot of other situations that have us scratching our heads though. Anyway, I can't wait to get it done and start camping! I love all the cool ideas and advice I'm getting on these forums.

Welcome to the group Britney. Others here have had a problem with the door also and I'm sure they'll be along soon with some info for you to a fix.

Seems to have good bones and a good project trailer. Good luck.

Welcome to the group. Lots of good advice here. Looks like you've got a pretty good project on your hands. Make it a labor of love and it will go better.
Have fun and make it your own.

It was probably better that you didn't see it before purchase....it might have scared you off! Once the reno is "completed" you will never go back to a tent. Keep up the pics.

Hey Britney to FiberglassRV

That "front end had a really bad sag" and the crack I see at the top of the door in your pictures can be an indication of a cracked frame. Be sure to check the frame thoroughly. Don't want to see some of your work needing to be redone due to the frame constantly flexing.

Best of luck and can't wait to see more pictures as you move through the rehab.

Thanks for all the welcomes .
I completely forgot through all the excitment, the previous owner did say the frame was taken in and repaired. I'm really hoping it was repaired right but I will have to cross that bridge when I get there if there's a problem in the future.
The interior is almost done, things are coming along great!
