Smile HI! I'm Donny. New to the page, new to the fiberglass rv life, and new to my Casita..

It's safe to say, "I'm addicted"! I have owned numerous large fifth wheels in the past, coupled with even larger disappointments. 99% of framed RVs are trash and I had sworn them off, until that is, my work situation changed and put me in the need for another coach. I had always liked the look of these little gems, but never seriously considered owning one, I am glad I got over that...I'm in love! I picked up my 2004 Casita Spirit Deluxe a little over a month ago, and have done nothing but mod, repair, and drag her around to see the sites. Thank y'all for having me!

Welcome, Donny! Isn’t it great owning an RV, rather than having one that owns you? Enjoy!

We are also new to the fiberglass life. We have had many campers but none as small as our new to us Scamp 13.
I look forward to camping this spring. Last summer I sold our DP to lazy days. It was the end of the RV experience as far as my wife was concerned. I was walking around a basement of camping gear some of which went back to our tent days and I just did not want to give it up. I found a used scamp, bought it and an eBay delivery company brought it to our driveway. I have not yet used it. It is small but so were some of the tents We used 50 years ago. I look forward to a simple life in a simple camper. I hope you enjoy yours too.

Welcome to the Casita Life, we also went through a couple of trailers sorting out what works best for us until we got our Casita Liberty, it is perfect for us.

(I bet you didn't go through drive thru windows with you fifth wheelers like we occasionally do with the Casita)

Be sure and try to attend a rally or gathering to see other trailers, meet their owners and check out their mods. We just had our first "fiberglass gathering" in Natchitoches a few weeks ago and several Casitas were in attendance.

New camper

Thanks for the message.
We are new to this world of little campers.

I am sort of excited about it but my wife is in terror.
It is much smaller than the dp we sold and our last 3campers were motor homes. This will be a big change for us.

Mr. Pat, there are a couple of rallies that we attend every year. One is in New Hampshire, Spring Fling in New England (springflingne.org) which is from May 16 - 18. The other one is in Minnesota near the Scamp factory (scamptrailers.com). That one runs from July 11 - 14. You might look into those or any other rallies that might interest you. Just a suggestion. Don.

Smile Donny with a "Y" Why not!!

Welcome aboard Donny
My wife and I have owned our 1979 Trillium 4500 Deluxe, c/w front washroom and sink for almost 10 years now. Just the two of us and had previously owned a 77 1300.
Many upgrades and remodels on the 4500 and we think we're done with those.
You're going to love the size and as soon as soon as you realize what you NEED and what you want, you'll have all the room you need.
Enjoy your travels, stay safe and hope to see you in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Sweet life

My 2018 casita is so reliable and so inexpensive I am happy taking off and I also don’t experience buyers remorse if I don’t take it out.

I also love getting access to more remote camping sites that cater to the under 20’ crowd.
