Hi I'm Julie
After *literally* years of lurking on these forums I am picking up my first camper (1999 16' scamp, layout 4) on Thursday. I have learned so much from all of you already; you have no idea. I'm sure I'm going to have zillions of questions and I'm looking forward to participating here.

Welcome Julie. I just recently sold my 1999 Scamp and bought a new layout 4. Kindred spirits? Enjoy...

Hi Julie,
Don’t know where in Florida you are, but Scamp Camp is just around the corner (Feb 11-15) at Highlands Hammock State Park in Sebring. Also do not know your employment situation, nor do I know if you could score a campsite at this late date. However, there will be lots of Scamp people in attendance with trailer modifications that could appeal to you and lots of Scamp knowledge, like Floyd, well known Scamp Guru. Even a day trip could be enlightening and valuable as you begin your Scamp adventure.

Thanks for the welcomes everyone! I saw the Florida gathering in February. I'm a good 4.5 hours from there (I'm in NE FL) and mid-week isn't possible for me that week, unfortunately. If anyone is coming south on 95 and wants to park in my driveway in Jax, though.....

OH really? After some effort I finally snagged a site at Fort De Soto in April, and Jax is where I either turn right or go towards Daytona. And I just happen to have your twin, a Scamp 16 layout four. Im not picky if the driveway is level

I also have a 1999 scamp I have owned sense 2005 with lots of mods. You are more than welcome to look at and get some ideas and i'm only 20 min from Jax airport.

CPW:
I am brand new here today! Going to pick up our new to us Scamp 13 over Easter weekend. Can you please give more info on Scamp camp for 2020? Is there a website for info and sign up? What do you do there? Excited!
Rae
