Hi, I'm JWM

Hi, I'm JWM
I'm now a Wisconsonite, driver of a 2003 Volvo V70, looking to put a fiberglass camping trailer behind it in the near future.
Ours is a family of four, with kids at 5 and 2.
We don't mind cozy, and we're on a budget looking to buy used.
Recommendations on what to look for in a nice little trailer that we can pull behind a full-sized wagon are certainly welcome.
Thanks!

Welcome to the site Jonathan and family. Prepare to be inundated. First check the towing capacity of your vehicle in the owner's manual.
Be cautious about what you are told about weights of trailers. A good place to get an idea of trailer weights in the real world can be found at this link: http://www.fiberglassrv.com/.../trai...rld-43010.html

Try to attend a rally near you, if you are unfamiliar with MFG trailers. Not sure where you are in WI, but if you look under the tab above labeled "More" you can access a Rally Map that will show you where various rallies are being held.
Good luck in your search.

Hi, I'm JWM

Welcome from one Jonathan to another!

Excellent advice from Lora.

There are some recent threads about setting up a V70 for towing. A Google site search should turn up some good information (blue bar under log-in information, "Search," and scroll down to "Site search/ Google").

We camp with four people in a 13' Scamp with front bunks. It's cozy, but comfortable. We cook and eat outside most of the time.

Best wishes!
