Hi, I'm Monte

Hi, My name is Monte and on Sunday I went out and got a Perris Pacer that needs a lot of work! I plan on taking it down to the bare bones and restoring to it's glory days! I'd never done it before so I'm sure I'll be asking a lot of questions! I live in Northern California and plan on using it when I go diving on the north coast. Any help you can offer would be great. This thing need a lot of love before it can back on the road.

All the best, Monte

Welcome, Monty!

We're always excited to see a neglected trailer brought back to life. I hope you'll share some "before" pictures. You may get some advice about where to start. As your project progresses, ask away. For almost any repair, there're people here who have done it before.

The best advice I have heard is not to wait until everything is "perfect" to start using the trailer. Just make sure it is roadworthy: bearings, tires, axle, coupler, running lights.

I have always liked the large street side window on the Perris Pacers.

Best wishes!

Welcome

Welcome Monte
Congratulations on your "find."

If you have any questions about refurbishing your trailer, feel free to "ask away," we're happy to help if we can. I know you'll find the people on these boards kind
and helpful, an invaluable resource for us during the process.

We use our Perris Pacer mostly for beach camping and the occasional vintage
trailer rally. Our trailer is a resto/mod, not a real "restoration," but is suits our needs perfectly. The first thing we started with was a safety inspection, addressed
tire, axel/hub and frame issues and then moved forward from there.
