My wife and I just purchased a 1978 14 ft Surfside Triple E. We are quite happy and have taken it out.....bought it and went camping right from the seller. Needs a few updates as the door came off the hinges on our way to Algonquin. I was able to repair it though. I will have many questions and have enjoyed reading others experiences with the Surfside.
Welcome to the group Dave. Looks good too. Yours is the second new purchase recently that had a door problem. You'll get some answers to a fix soon. BTW, we like pics .
I remember using gorilla tape on our Uhaul door bringing it home to CT from Mich. it had a bad latch. Few days after getting home you wouldn't have recognized that trailer...it cleaned up great. My wife was a believer as we had come from tents etc.
