I bought a Scamp 13 from a friend in March and so far have replaced the electrical system, and put on new tires. Plumbing and propane are starting Nov. 5th. It was basically stripped and I purchased it knowingly. When I finish re-purposing it for camping, it will still have cost less than the insurance company said it was worth. It had been made into an emergency com station and been to the Texas coast for a couple of hurricanes. I have a question about the numbering system on right arm of the tongue, pictures attached. Are these the VIN?

Q. Where is the serial number?
A. The serial number is located on the tongue of the trailer on the door side of the trailer. It is stamped into the top of the 3" x 1 ½" tubing. Most serial numbers will have 17 digits starting with "1S7". Some older serial numbers will have 5 digits and start with an "E". There were a few trailers made in the 70's where the serial number was stamped on the top of the tongue opposite the door.
