Hi - new from Ontario - what is this trailer?

Greetings from Ottawa!
We are looking at "trading out" our canvas popup for a fiberglass trailer; seems like it may be a better fit for us in the long haul. I plan to spend more time reading posts here, but in the meantime, can anyone identify this fiberglass trailer - it's not like most in that it's similar to a Hi-Lo and quite boxy rather than rounded.

The guy said "It's a Caesar, manufactured in BC"
"fiberglass box camper"...
paneling mostly glued to blue foam insulation glued to fiberglass box

I am unable to find anything on this brand or model - who is the actual manufacturer?
I've not found a pic of a real Hi-Lo with covers over all windows like that either, so I don't think it's one of theirs. It's a 1988.

Welcome o FGRV Jojo. I've never seen one like that but it's sure not a molded FG TT like this site is dedicated to. It does look like a Hi-Lo type though.

Looks like one model of Hi-Lo trailer is still being made by a successor owner:

You have to go to their About page to get a link to the Wanderer, a 16'4" Hi-Lo:

They were never molded fiberglass trailers; they had (have) fiberglass sides and rubber roofs, over a metal frame.

It's interesting, Jojo. The roof appears to be molded in one piece. Not sure about the upper sides and lower box. I can't see any corner seams, so perhaps they are molded, too.

My impression of hi-lo-type trailers in general is what you gain through a lower towing profile you lose in weight. So towing-wise it may be a wash. If this one uses lightweight materials, I'd be curious what it does weigh.

Most hi-lo trailers look a bit ungainly to my eye, but this one appears a bit more svelte. Thinner walls, maybe. The awnings are nice.

If you decide to check this out, I hope you'll post a full report about its materials and construction. More pictures, please!

Hi: JojoOtt... One advantage with an all molded fiberglass trailer is you can pull in for lunch and not have to "Crank" anything up.

Jon, the current (successor) Hi-Lo is, aside from the telescoping feature, traditional stick-built: fiberglass laminated sides and a rubber roof, which means seams along the top. See here:

Got it. But I'm understanding the unit in the OP's link is from a different company altogether. The OP identified it in the second post as a Manitoba-made Casa-Rolla.

It's a little hard in some of the posts to tell if folks are using "hi-lo" as a generic description of this type of trailer or "Hi-Lo" as the name of a specific manufacturer (as xerox has come to refer to any brand of photo copier).

I'll certainly be interested to learn more.

Jojo, unless garageability is a primary requirement, you might want to consider a classic (non-telescoping) egg-type trailer.

We have decided to pass on this particular unit. In fact, decided against any 'assembly needed' models.... that was one of the reasons we decided to start looking to move on from the tent trailer. That one sure caught my eye though! The price was way below budget, but from the sounds of it, it's delaminating (is that the term?) - he talked of it needing to be reglued and such. That's a bit of a bigger project than we'd want to take on, too. Willing to wait for a nice egg style. I think Trillium 5500 is what we're after. Does anyone know in what year did the vintage Trilliums change from boxy-ish to more rounded ?

Anyone interested in 'telescoping' hard-body trailers should look at the TrailManor line. They do need some setup (not 'assembly'). My daughter points out that, like tent trailers, they are inconvenient if you want to just stop for lunch en route. But they are pretty neat. The TrailManor site is down, but here are pics:
