Hi, we are Bob and Mary from Plano, TX

We have a Casita which we have owned for a year; we are towing with a Ford F150. We have taken three long trips in it (long to us anyway.) We are getting ready for a road trip to Alaska this summer with it and have been reading many tips from the various forums. Hope to meet some of you on the road this summer.

Two pieces of advice...buy the Milepost and plan a night at Cottonwood campground on Kulane lake in the Yukon. The ride is as good as Alaska.

Welcome aboard. Post all your Alaskan travels, as we might be doing that trip next year, and would like to know what to expect and how to prepare.

Welcome Bob and Mary. Glad you found the forum. Alaska what a great trip. Been there on a cruise but a road trip would be the way to go. Safe travels.

Greetings from Texas just a few miles away. Love Alaska Great time of year. Leave your guns home . Those Canadian border guards dont understand us. I have a CHL but did not bring anything and I guess perhaps they can see from my tags or DL that I have a permit and they kept on me for awhile about guns or weapons, etc. They didnt search me as I assume they could see I was telling the truth.
