Hi, We are Steve and Katie

Our "new to us" 2008 17' Casita Freedom Deluxe is being delivered today! Apparently there are not too many of them in Canada... we are feeling lucky to have snagged this one!
Three weeks ago we started looking at what was available in the light weight two person trailer market. It was not long before we discovered this world of fiberglass egg trailers. We knew that this was the ticket for us! Our requirements were full time bed, table for two, bathroom, appliances. The Freedom Deluxe is going to fit the bill perfectly.
After a couple of weekend trips in Ontario in June we are heading to New Hampshire, Maine, and Quebec for 16 days at the end of July.
We look forward to meeting the fiberglass egg community while on our retirement adventures across the US and Canada!
Cheers,
Steve and Katie

Welcome to the forum and your adventure. We are also a member of the Canadian Casita family. Don't see many of them up here in Edmonton. I know there are a couple of them but have only seen one other parked at a Walmart. We got ours from a forum member in North Dakota a couple of years ago and really like it. Ours is a 1998 17 spirit deluxe. We camp with a group of folks with big 5th wheels, 34' motorhomes and such. Sometimes we are like the mouse and the elephant, worried about getting stepped on! We went from a 13' Ventura to the 17SD so its big to us.

BTW the folks on the forum, love pictures so post away!

Pictures to come soon.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. Apparently the Casita is in the driveway! I will be checking it out over the next few days. Then towing to Pinery Provincial Park for the weekend. I will take a few photos and post them soon.
Regards,
Steve

Congrats. A Casita is definitely a rare sight in Ontario. You'll love the inaugural road trip. We took that route a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it.
