Hi, we're Brad and Laura...

Hi, we’re Brad and Laura, owners of a 2020 Scamp 13’ (w/ bunks). We’ll be taking our cat along on our adventures. She loves to travel. If she hears us touch her crate, she comes running and jumps in, ready to go wherever we’re going. She is disappointed when it ends up being the vet. We’re pretty sure she’s going to love the Scamp with all its windows though...

Hi, we're Brad and Laura...

I’m sure she will! I predict she will gravitate to the top of the sofa by the front window. A narrow pillow there would make a perfect catnap spot.

Happy travels!

We travel with 2 cats, who are very comfortable with the whole process. We have both on harnesses, and put them out when we stop for awhile "anchored" by a milk jug weighted with sand. They can move around a little, enjoy being outside in new places, and are easy to find if we get distracted. They do not have to be tied to the trailer, which inevitably ends up with an inconvenient tangle. They can be placed in an open area where they are easy to see, and they can enjoy watching what is going on. We of course keep an eye on them.

The only issue we have had is an over-friendly dog who liked cats. He had to re-think his attitude toward cats after meeting our 2.

I bet you’re right, Jon. I’d better get on making that narrow pillow!

BJ—A milk jug full of sand is brilliant. Thanks for the tip! We saw a leashed cat getting tangled up under an RV the other day and thought there must be a better way. Our cat would have made that friendly dog think twice, too… Glad to hear of other traveling cats doing well out there.
