Hi, We're New....

We just picked up a 1973 Ventura Monarch 400B. We have been looking for this particular model for quite some time. We wanted a small lightweight unit that would make it easy for us to just jump in and go. We also want the option to tow it with our classic car so it had to be a bit of an older style to fit in.

We had a Combi-Camp trailer, from Denmark, it's like a tent trailer but more tent less trailer and that just didn't work well for us. We like to travel and discover things rather than sit around a lake.

We have a 10 year old who wants to go camping as long as there is wifi and it's not too inconvenient. Probably most people with younger kids can relate to that.

Have only spent one night in it but seemed to fit our needs very well.

Welcome, if you are on or near Vancouver Island we have a bolerama on Sept. 18 - 20th and we would love to see you. It is at Sooke River Campground. Great time to meet fellow fiberglass RV'ers.

We are ion Keremeos but I lived in Sooke in the early mid 80's. We'll keep that in mind for next year though.

Our kids will go camping anywhere they can freely ride their bicycles. Most of the places we camp don't have WiFi, and our cellular plans are pretty limited on data. We do allow some offline use of electronics while driving, but other than that, camping is pixel-free. Okay, maybe a video on a rainy evening when there's no campfire or s'mores... Trust me, they'll discover other things to do!

Thanks Jon, Someday I'll put a hitch on the 50 Ford and then we have somewhere to stay when we go to car show. Now that's something my son loves to do even without internet access...LOL He was out helping repaint the inside of the new trailer today after school so maybe there is hope...
