Howdy from Denver, seeking 13' Scamp or similar

Hi, friends. I just joined from wonderful Denver, Colorado where it will be 70° tomorrow. Have decided its time to start camping again, but can't sleep on the floor of a tent anymore!

I am looking for a 13' Scamp or similar, (Casita, Burro?) to pull with a 2002 Subaru Forester. I intend to name 'er "HMS Beagle."

Would welcome any leads in this region.

What is your Subie rated to tow- total weight and tongue weight? Some of the 13'ers can get quite heavy, especially if they're loaded with bathroom, HW heater, AC, fridge, furnace, awning,...

From other posters, it seems many Subarus are limited to 200 pounds tongue weight, so that means keeping the trailer weight under 2000 pounds fully loaded, i.e., fairly simple.

If you only have 1 or 2 people, the Hunter Compacts and Trailswest Campsters are among the lightest molded fiberglass trailers, and they have a lower towing profile. The Compact Jr. is narrower, too.

Do you have any preferences regarding budget or condition?

Thanks, Jon. I'm just looking into buying and egg, and was about to check my manual about towing capacity! I'm looking to spend <$5,000, so the search might take a while. I'll check out the Hunters and Trailswest.

Another possible options might be the weiscraft little joe
Last summer when we were visiting my son in Denver we called them and took a quick trip to where they are put together ( only about 45 min from Denver) it was fun and i really liked the folks & trailers ... I do not remember the weight but it might be an option plus a fun thing to checkout
