I was in your boat the last few months. Was looking at building a teardrop (even bought a HF trailer to start). While researching I stumbled upon this page and found the
fiberglass trailers more suited to what I wanted. Followed advice given here, that is if you come across a good one be ready to jump on it quickly. My son and I drove out to Toledo (6 hr drive) to look at a 1976
boler (hence the name rocknboler). Looked good, but when we got there found out this was not what we wanted, lesson learned ask the right questions before you take the trip (ie Have mice gotten into it and soiled everything?)
Stumbled across a 1996
Scamp, drove 34 hours from NY to Iowa and back, in 44 hrs
. Seller thought I was crazy (he doesn't know the half of it) but I survive and have a great project scamp to work on
If you get your sites set on one type of fiberglass, your search will be more difficult. Love the look of the
boler, but am very pleased with my scamp. They all have their own appeal. Enjoy your search, ask the right questions and be ready to jump. Best of Luck.
