I bought a Playpac

Hi y'all! After a few months of searching, I bought a Playpac. It was only 50 miles away. It's in good structural shape, but some owner along the way stripped the interior, so there's not bathroom, kitchen, or table. No electric (other than the trailer lights) and no propane. It does have a futon and some other cushions built in, and a bunch of counter space and drawers, and a great 1970s vibe.

My short term plan is to make it roadworthy and make sure it has space for my family of four to sleep in. Long term I'm probably going to strip it down to the shell and rebuild from the ground up. Here are some pics:

Make sure the sleeping spots are comfortable . Have your family Sleep in the camper in your driveway. I found out the hard way all the fun at the campground is wasted if you are miserable trying to get some sleep. We are rethinking our layout to try to get it comfortAble for more than one person.
Your camper is adorable!

Looks great and getting it ready will be a snap. Make sure you enjoy it while your fixing it up too, and be on the look out for the posts for the
Spring Fling in New England Rally slated for next May held at Chocorua Camping Village, KOA.
Not so much this year but previous years all who attend have had a great time and always looking to welcome new and all Egg owners to this big event.
Hope you can make it Matt!

Barb, host of the Spring Fling in New England Rally

Thanks!

Great advice on testing the sleeping arrangement in the back yard!

And we'll definitely check out the Spring Fling. Somehow New Hampshire and Maine are two out of four states I've never been to and my trip up that way this past spring was cancelled for obvious reasons.

Thumbs up Have Fun

I REALLY like the pop art Daisies... hope you preserve that vibe.
What a great project for you and I'm sure you'll have fun with your family camping in such a unique camper.

Hi Playpackers, next year is the 50th anniversary of the PLAYPAC and I would like to propose a meet, next Summer, near Disney World in central Florida. I and Mrs. PaPac would happily pay for the first night’s stay for the first 5 to respond and attend.
What are your thoughts?
